Your ticket to fastrack RYA Yachtmaster qualification.

This 14 week course combines all the RYA sailing modules from competent crew upwards and is designed to take you from novice sailor to confident yachtmaster. We use the fantastic sailing area around Gibraltar to pack in some really good sea time. There are two continents, five countries and a wealth of experience to be gained from shipping lanes, the Straits, good winds and a wide variety of sunny destinations to visit.

Week1 Competent Crew Practical Week2 Day Skipper Theory, First aid Week3 Day Skipper practical, V.H.F. Radio Week4 Yachtmaster & Coastal Theory training and exam. Week5 Local sailing around Gibraltar Week6 Gibraltar - Balearics	Week7 Balearics Week8 Balearics-Gibraltar Week9-10 Coastal Skipper Practical: Gibraltar to Morocco, Mallila and Spain Week11 Gibraltar – Cadiz – Gibraltar Week12 Local sailing, close quarter boat handling and revision of practical skills. Week13-14 Yachtmaster prep & exam

Only five students are enrolled on each yacht and all courses are run by an experienced and fully qualified RYA Yachtmaster Skipper to ensure the highest level of instruction is available to each individual .

The fastrack Yachtmaster course is specifically designed to combine all aspects of sailing; both theory and practical, with the aim of turning you into an experienced, professional and safe skipper. At least two weeks are spent in a shore based classroom completing Day Skipper theory, Coastal Skipper Theory, navigation, rules of the road and weather. There are also one-day courses such as sea survival, first aid and VHF held during your stay.

We do work you hard, so boat maintenance is always on the agenda. Training is continuous throughout the course and covers all the boat systems both mechanical and electronic. Trips up on the bosons chair are always fun but maintaining the boat to a high standard is a full time job and everyone seem to love it. Working together as a team is one of the most important aspects of sailing on the sea, and when you all work as a well oiled team you won’t believe how easy it all is. Joining a fastrack course is a big decision you will need to be focused all the way to  RYA Yachtmaster.
