RYA Competent Crew. This 5-day course of seamanship and
general awareness of the sailing environment is a widely
recognised RYA qualification and essential for those who want to
increase their sailing knowledge and be safe while at sea.
Being competent crew is really all about, quite literally,
learning the ropes! By the end of the course you will not only
know most of them do, you'll be able to tie them in knots, winch
them and stow them. You will also get to know how to move about
the boat safely, put up and take down sales as well as get the
boat from A to B. It's hands on and can be hard work but it's
fun and every day is an adventure.
Come sailing in the sunny, tidal waters around Gibraltar and
visit Morocco, Ceuta and Spain.
Warm sunny climate and friendly instruction with fun and
adventure at the centre of every course. We work hard and play
hard so expect to be worn out at the end of the week but with
many memorable moments on the way.
